Thoughts are Things
Thoughts can be our own, can come from spirits, can be a mixture of both, and can be influenced by our earthly life, what we believe and our upbringing, also we can receive thoughts and influence from God.

The minds thoughts may be good or bad, our thoughts affect the soul's condition and the soul's destiny is created, and finally the soul's condition influences the thoughts of the mind.

When I first found out that "thoughts are things" it gave me quite a shock, I immediately raced through a lot of thoughts I had entertained throughout the years, I had a belief that whatever we thought stayed with us, that it was actions and not thoughts which were the judge of us.
Well I was wrong, thoughts leave us and can be directed at another and they will receive the thought, the quality depending only on the sender and the receiver, nonetheless, they go out anyway and even others who are perceptive may receive our thoughts, and above all God knows all of our thoughts.

There is nothing mysterious about this, a mother may instinctively know if her child is in danger, the phone can ring after you have thought about the person who now rings.
So even though I knew very well, since I was a child, that our thoughts are perceived I also had a false belief that this was not true.
Thoughts can create too, they can attract situations and bring them to us, good and bad depending on our thoughts.
The problem was that these thoughts seemed to have a life of their own and were near impossible to control, anything could trigger a complimentary thought, I felt stuck in the midst of something I had no control over.

Most people have heard of the sayings "you reap what you sow" "think! and so shall you be" this is not new information, but sayings from people who found out how the mind works and some of the laws of God.

So for me, reading Jesus' messages changed everything, they showed me that it was not so much the mind that was the important thing, but it was the "SOUL," and that the soul can be transformed into the essence of God through prayer, through sincere longing for a nearness to God and the reception of God's Divine Love into our soul, which in turn transforms the soul from the image and emptiness, to substance and an existence that is real, which in turn leads to an eternal life in bliss and harmony and a future in the Celestial Heavens that no words can describe.

So pray to God people, this is our message, read these messages, they will inform you of the truth and will help you to pray in the correct manner.

When the divine love comes in abundance, you love everybody, negative thoughts are non existent, while you are in this condition you can think of an evil man, for example, and you have only love for him, it has nothing to do with justice or his wrongdoings and this does not mean that you are in agreement with him either, but this love is so overwhelming that whatever he has done cannot remove the love from your soul.

I'll finish this with these wise words from Luke.

A paragraph from Luke:
"So I say, let men not devote so much of their time to those things which are of time only, while they remain in the world of time until the mortal becomes a spirit. Thoughts are things; and when applied to man's spiritual development, they are things of the most vital importance. A little thought may lead a soul to a dormant, hardly living state, or cause it to grow and increase into a thing of beauty and harmony with the spiritual possibilities of its possessor. And, as it has been said, where your treasures are, there will your heart be also. And so will your thoughts be that turn man's soul into darkness, or light."

A Divine Love brother told me a story of when he locked himself in his bedroom for 3 days and prayed over a rock that he tried to move with the power of prayer. After 3 days he emerged and the rock had not moved. This reminds me of the many thoughts we may have that are ineffective and possibly a waste of time. Sometimes we may engage day after day in "coffee talk" with others when our thoughts and time could be better served.

And, when I think about; thoughts are things, it reminds me of another slogan; be careful what you pray for because you just might get it. The power of thought is "powerful" and is the engine of creation of both deity and the created. I've heard it said that reality is created twice, once in our imagination and next in physical reality. When I build something as a building contractor, I visualize the entire project from front to back in my mind and can see it in it's completion before I begin. Not only do I visualize the process but also problems that might occur such as weather and create contingencies or back up plans so that I can achieve my goal. I love to work with wood as I'm a carpenter by trade as it's so gratifying to visualize a project and watch it appear right before my very eyes. I also do allot of doodling with pictures as I sketch what I'm creating to expand my thoughts.

This is a fascinating subject Ian and would make really good material for our on-line study group. I'll make a note of that for a future creation.

Your loving brother in Christ,
Dan

Thank you Ian,

As Joan has sometimes talked about and the Messages from Jesus and Celestials talk about, the transformation to the "Divine Angel" is gradual. There are, at times, moments or times of great upheaval, or "expiations" even with Prayer for Divine Love and it's inflowing. In my experience, the inherited thoughts and beliefs ("unto the 4th and 5th generation) of our parents are the "spirit" that we are exposed to from the time the soul enters into the embryo, and for the first approximately 2 yrs absorbed by the spirit/mind of the child. The are adopted as "modus operandus" by the child beginning at about 2yrs old when the child begins exerting its own will, and are established as the mental personality by about 7 yrs old. From there on they are practiced and practiced until the child leaves the enviornment of the home and family, and have become more unaware thoughts and beliefs, reactionary if you will. At that time it becomes more evident that not everyone thinks like we do. This brings about a beginning of an existential crises of sorts. Who's right and whos wrong? who am i? etc. The beginnings of some critical thought or self examination.

It was for me also the beginning of another growth period when i found the messages. The ideas that thoughts are things, that they have spirit and that they are perceptible to the spirit and souls perceptions of others, either mortals or spirits. We are told that thoughts are the foundation of beliefs and that back of the thoughts are the souls desires.

So, the inherited beliefs effect the harmony of our lives when we act upon them. If they are negative or unloving toward ourselves or others they create consequences set up by Gods Laws of Love and Harmony and the Law of Compensation or Recompense. We suffer. Sometimes that suffering is manifest in the physical body.

The way out, so to speak, in my experience is to practice not only the recommendations in the Messages for Prayer for Divine Love but also the practices of renunciation spoken to in the messages concerning the development of Natural Love. This involves some form of self examination, a seeking of the truth. This in combination of prayer and the affirmation of the Truth of our innate goodness as a soul, a beautiful and perfect Creation of God, Created in the image and likeness of the Goodness of The Great Soul. Still, with all these tools it seems that the mind relinquishes the old beliefs only a little at a time, and not without some pain, or difficult times. Some might say expiations.
Well, that's it from me for now, with much love to all, brother dave k.
Prayer must arise from the soul of humans. The response must come from God. There is no other means by which this Knowledge can be obtained. All Knowledge of things spiritual, that humans think they possess, coming in any other way cannot be relied upon. There is only One Source of such knowledge out of which the Real Spiritual Truths of God emanate.

Thanks Dave.

Before I found the messages and began to pray as they suggest, I wanted to be a better person, I had read a lot, religion, physiology, new age etc, almost everything I read talked about controlling the mind and it's thoughts, well I tried it with some success, at first!
And so I believed that I had been rid of some thoughts that were inharmonious, and sometimes this stayed the same for a long time and it seemed like I was free from them, until a certain situation arose that triggered the oppressed thoughts, or way of thinking, then I knew it was no use, all that time I had believed they were gone and I was changed was just a false belief.

It was a shock, and I remember the day that it was sprung upon me. So I picked myself up and kept on searching and after some time went by I found these messages, my question that lead me to find them was, "what did Jesus REALLY say?" Two days later I was reading them, for me they were not foreign, but a lot of what was being told here had already been told to me through my inner senses, I say inner senses for lack of a complete understanding of how this happened to be.

So after much praying and reading the messages and the reception of the divine love, these undesirable thoughts began to leave me, without effort on my part.
I could now think back to any period in my life that before, I would try to avoid because of the negative feelings attached to it, and although it did not change what happened in the past, it did change my view of it, I saw more, I was shown the difficulties people go through and why sometimes people do things they shouldn't, and even better, love, sympathy, and forgiveness accompanied these thoughts, for me and the other people involved, and I knew I was free from the all the painful experiences from the past, and it has been like this for many years now.

Life is hard enough as it is, we could well do without burdens to our spiritual and soul development from the past and the past generations, the solution is in the messages.

God Bless all people and all spirits, thank you Jesus and guides and angels for showing me the way, thank you God for making all this possible.

Great posts here in this topic. Of course, I can relate to what you all say, because having lived it... first, with sins of the parents... you really don't know why your thoughts are the way they are until you realize one day... hey, I'm following in my mom's footsteps. Ouch! Oh, the pain of it all.

And I am so relieved to be free of it, as I've had an expiation or three myself, Dave. Not a very fun time, but really going through the release and let-go procedure was very quick when I consider how many years some of these sins, or parasites, were attached to my soul. And all this on account of thoughts... the wrong ones.

But the wonder and beauty of Divine Love is that it dives right in to the place where the sin used to be and the Love gets lodged right there, so any wrongful thought after that will need to find another place on my soul... and, hopefully, with the help of my Father, those thoughts are fewer and farther away. :)

Love and blessings,
Joan
